july last year, july 2018, a daily beast reporter named lachlan markay posted this snip pet on his weeklyay dirt newsletter. who's behind this six-figure donation to a leading trump pac? it was a donation that was over $300,000 to a trump superpac and appeared to come from a company called global energy partners. as noted at the time, there's very little indication of what the company does or who's behind it. the end of that month, markay had sleuthed out the company was founded, at least, by two soviet-born businessmen. okay? the other details like what sort of this this was, where all its money came from, why they'd be giving more than $300,000 to a trump pac, it all remained unclear. he kept at it. by november last year, markay felt confident enough this it's a highly dramatic example of how this president operates. he's impulsive and doesn't listen to advice and lies about what he did. >> in the meantime, as we speak, fbi agents are in detroit, chicago, new york, new yorking on a door enforcing a warrant preparing for court tomorrow morning. is it too early yet to sum up the net effec
