larry, if the laf d was able to operate last night, would it have been this bad? >> it is very tough to say. the wind was so bad last night that even if the helicopters would have been in the air, it is extremely tough to get the water to the ground. once it leaves the helicopter, when the wind is blowing that bad, it is just tough because it evaporates, it gets blown away and sometimes it just doesn't hit the ground. so, very tough to say. again, we have never seen anything like this to this scale. you have the fire burning in pasadena and altadena and points north. then you have the terrible fire in the pacific palisades you have been talking about and that is continuing to blow up. you can't see it out the window but from where i am sitting in my office, i can see the plumes of all of these fires at the same time. >> you are many miles away from the palisades. >> i hate to say it but there is a new fire that is just starting up up in the ventura county area. you've got, in addition to the terrible weather, it is still windy out here. it is better than it was la
