abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield live in lafayette with their story. amy. >> reporter: reggie, i just spoke with a family friend. he says the wife of the missing man, heidi, is very frustrated. she still doesn't have any news this morning. the lafayette couple was on the tail end of a two-week-long european vacation. 43-year-old jared tucker and his wife, they were in the la las ramblas area of barcelona, and now she can't find him. he stepped away to go to the restroom when the attack happened. heidi hasn't been able to get information from the state department or the red cross. jared's broernl spoke to us. he was too distraught to appear on camera. he told us about heidi's frantic search. she also has the help of a friend who lives in barcelona. >> went to the hospital to see if there were names or anything given. they were redirected to a red cross type setup. they were going to post names at a certain point. as of yet, they have yet to release those names. >> heidi was told to leave the area by police right after the attack. she says she couldn't c

live in lafayette, spencer blake, kron four news.justine) a man is in custody after stealing a truck from a residence in hayward yesterday. it happened around 5 pm on gamble court off dobbel avenue. the resident came outside his home to find another man stealing his truck. the resident got in another car and called police while he followed the suspect. the suspect then fired a gun at the victim-- but missed him. during the pursuit the suspect hit several other cars-- injuring one driver. when officers arrived-- the suspect started driving toward them... officers began shooting at the suspect but did not hit him. the suspect then got out of the truck and took off on foot. officers were able to find the suspect and arrested him. neither the victim or suspect were injured.
