lagrange has the details of the investigation. metro responded to calls of this shooting at about when police got to complex, they say they found the victim lying on the ground in the parking lot with multiple gun shot wounds. he was then taken to u-m-c, where he was pronounced dead. police say they believe the suspect jumped over a nearby wall, and left in a white s-u-v -- possibly an expedition. police say they are investigating the possibility that this was a robbery. "his wallet was there. but i don't know if anything was taken out of it. so some of the witnesses heard several shots,and then a little break, and then several more shots." police say there is quite a bit of security at this apartment complex. but they also say security doesn't guarantee safety. metro also says they have been here before -- specifically metro's homicide division. again, they are looking for a black male they believe fled the scene in a white s-u-v. if you have any information that can help in this case, please call police. a woman is behind bars t

fox five's nick lagrange has the latest on the investigation. jason and monica -- this investigation centers aroubd the bus stop you see police say two white males were at that bus stop when they were approached by a group of hispanic males. both were shot, and one was killed. police say this happened at about 12:45 this morning. metro police lieutenant dan mcgrath says the two white males were approached by four hispanic males. mcgrath says some 'gang language' was exchanged, and then six shots were fired. one of the white males in his 30's was killed in the exchange, while the other was transported to the hospital with multiple gun shot wounds. mcgrath says the group of hispanic males ran southwest of the shooting scene... possibly to a nearby apartment complex. lt. dan mcgrath/lvmpd 41:21 - 41:37 "... believe they're in the area.... pretty violent act." mcgrath says they are speaking to witnesses in the area, and checking security video from the many nearby businesses. expect to have this intersection closed at least until sunrise. so you may

fox5's nick lagrange has more on the potential move. jason and monica -- this is very exciting news, if your a local sports fan. word emerged thursday that unlv may team up with casino owner sheldon adelson to and we know adelson is meeting with raiders owner mark davis here today, to discuss the potential stadium and move to our city. earlier this month, unlv closed a deal to expand the campus by 42 acres. the $50 million deal was approved by the board of the nevada systems of higher education in december. on thursday, unlv provided fox5 an email from president len jessup that states he has been made aware that the adelson- owned las vegas sands plans to announce its support for a new special events stadium to be located on the 42 acres of land, which is situated near tropicana avenue and koval lane. unlv was asked to meet with raiders officials at the 42- acre site. a sands spokesperson confirmed to fox5 that plans for a $1 billion domed stadium are moving forward, with or without a team. the stadium would 60,000 seats. the spokespers

fox five's nick lagrange joins us live from valley high school near sahara and desert inn, with details of the investigation. nick? dave and maria -- we got that six- page report yesterday. the teacher accused of doing this is 25-year-old -- jillian lafave. and her official offense is 'sexual misconduct between teacher and student.' report -- las vegas metro detectives were called to the student's home on january 14th. the teenager -- who has a learning disability -- stated he had been texting lafave since october 16th. the report states the teen told detectives he had kissed lafave inside a classroom on several occasions. a look at cellphone records indicated the two had exchanged more than 13,000 text messages, many of which were sexual in nature. detectives interviewed lafave the following day. according to the report -- lafave admitted to kissing the teen on several occasions and touching him inappropriately on at least one so what do could've been done to prevent this? fox five's nick lagrange has more. jason and maria -- we had a really terrible looking crash on wednesday on rainbow. this one at pecos and owens looks just as bad, if not worse. the engine is lying in the roadway, the driver is dead. metro police sergeant richard strader says this is a single-vehicle accident. at about 1:30 this morning, the 2003 mazda protege was speeding westbound on owens, and was attempting to make a right turn north onto pecos. the male driver lost control of the vehicle on the turn, and crashed into a utility pole here. strader says the clerk at the nearby 7/11 ran outside, saw the driver was still alive, and attempted to remove him from the car. the fire department eventually had to extricate the driver. and strader says the driver died at umc. we're up to ten traffic fatalities already this year. and strader says that's not a good start. 5:39 "i'm hoping...,last year." 5:51 was definitely a contributing factor in this crash. he says it's unclear whether impairment was a factor, though he says
