it may be the people who came to fly this morning at laguardia. it is quiet here. i'm tempted to reprise the old western line -- that it's too quiet here. i don't think you can show up and get a seat, that's far from guaranteed, but once you get here, we look at the departure board. the word "canceled" doesn't appear and hasn't yet today, though we've been advised by the airport's general manager that because of the weather system, there will likely be delays, and even some cancellations. so call your carrier, get here early. and know there's a couple of goodies, some help. for example, kids 12 and understand don't have to take off their shoes going through security. that's one way to speed things up. so far at least here, thomas, things look good. happy thanksgiving. >> we like it. happy thanksgiving to you. now, let's check in to see how weather will factor in, and nick walker has more from the headquarters in atlanta. explain what the i-95 corridor will be looking like. >> there is good news, thomas. the bulk of the rain, the heaviest rain is offshore now. we st

we are still seeing delays at laguardia and also san francisco, the airport out there. because of these two systems a lot of folks are trying to get to their thanksgiving destination and it's just not happening. now for the parade forecast, good news. a lot of folks will be watching the macy's thanksgiving day parade not only here in new york city but on television. the conditions are going to be beautiful at the start of the parade and as the parade makes its way down 34th street. really nice conditions. winds will not be an issue because there is a criteria with the big balloons, shannon, as we know. across the northeast really looking good. my family is going to be traveling tomorrow morning. i heeded my own warning. try not to travel to the across the east coast. it will be little difficult. but across the south and the gulf coast region, really lovely and cooler temperatures, as well. up toward the upper midwest, no issues here. a lot of sunshine. but the one place we are keeping an eye on is the northwest and parts of northern california, as that system continues

new york city's laguardia, also reporting 50-minute delays and the same goes for philly. and of course, as you know, as the day goes on, the delays tend to ripple. check ahead with your carrier. and i put a little handy on my facebook page where you can track any flights. only takes a couple seconds. showers moving into the northern most portion of the state. they'll continue to head through the south for the next eight hours. that's about how far we are away from our first significant snowfall, dropping into the north bay. this front is going to maintain its organization, so we could pick upwards of 3/4 of an inch in santa rosa and the north bay hills, fair game for some pretty heavily rainfall. at 1:00 a.m., we stop the clock yet again, you can see the greater bay area getting wet at that time, but the showers starting to subside. as a matter of fact, at 8:00 a.m., just as you're waking up for thanksgiving, getting ready to prepare that turkey, all that shower activity will have already passed. it will still be cold, we'll still be left with areas of ponding, because lo
