a new plane was brought in to fly the passengers to laguardia airport in new york. into friday night's deadly plane crash in philadelphia. the medical transport jet was carrying two pilots, a doctor, a paramedic and a young girl and her mother when it crashed and exploded near a shopping mall. all six people on board were killed, along with one person on the ground. late yesterday, federal investigators found the cockpit voice recorder eight feet underground at the site of the crash. they now hope the recordings will provide some answers. >> we have to do this right. the outcome of the investigation matters. it matters to the people, to the families that are affected, who are affected by this. it matters for safety going forward for all of us. >> authorities say at least 22 people on the ground were injured. one woman says she was making dinner friday night when the jet crashed into her home. >> i bent down to put something in the trash, and then all i know is my downstairs blew in a table, blew up everywhere. it was just smoke everywhere. i just remember just screa

then midday on sunday, a united airlines flight from houston to laguardia airport in new york city caught fire on the runway. passengers could see smoke and flames coming from the wing of the plane. look at that. they were initially told to stay in their seats. the passengers reportedly objected to that instruction, because they could see the smoke and flames coming out of the wing of the plane. passengers were then evacuated off that plane using slides and stairs onto the tarmac in houston. so in the space of five days, that's the first major commercial air disaster in this country in more than 15 years. and then another catastrophic and deadly plane crash, and then an airport collision, and then a commercial plane fire that causes an on tarmac evacuation of all the passengers, and a nationwide critical system failure that grounded flights all over the country, all in five days. all in five days. and who knows, maybe. maybe that's just bad luck. or you know what? resign. why don't you resign? why don't the people who caused this mess, who oversaw, who proceeded over this mess, resign? th

for medevacs, because you've got to get to sometimes a smaller airport than a philadelphia or a laguardia or something like that. one of the two runways, they're technically four runways at philadelphia northeast airport, but there are really two. they just go, you know, each direction. two of those runways are too short for a learjet about they're too short by a few hundred feet. but if that's the place you have to land, that could have also been part of the problem. it does not look like this was an attempt to land. i will say that the way that plane went down looked like a plane that was out of control. there are a lot of reasons that can happen. an aerodynamic stall, as a previous guest said, is quite possible. that means you are doing something with your plane, trying to turn it, or trying to do something with it, and you lose lift. the plane just decides it can't fly anymore because you don't have enough air passing over those wings. that looks like it may have been a contributing factor, but you never know. sometimes with these things, it means there's something fully mechanical or
