that's kind of been moving through lake county as well. sonoma county looks like around petaluma and santa rosa. some activities beginning to pick up but really, it's been all about the peninsula. and down to the santa cruz mountains. some of that snow going through a long skyline. i know there's been snow down to about 3 400 ft, now moving back into the santa cruz mountains, so highway nine highway 17 that boulder creek around 700 ft up has had the most know that i've seen so far . winter weather advisories out now that's that's also for the sonoma coast. like county, mendocino county, santa clara high hills and also for santa cruz mountains. however, if you're above 1500 ft. a winter storm warnings starts later today could be 6 to 12 inches of snow. anybody above 1500 ft that starts today goes through tonight and friday. winter wins again when advisory kicks back in at four o'clock goes through four p.m. on friday could get gusts back into that 50 mile per hour range. freeze warning to the north is really the only one that verify. there's

mendocino and lake counties is nothing but snow crossing down napa county from there. you've got a very, very rough go ahead of you. even napa itself seeing a bit of a mix of rain, snow and that is making for some icy conditions. 80, though, from the late show up to fairfield inn and up to vacaville. even some accumulating snow on the road around there. heavy, heavy snow falling in these areas right here. then mixing very quickly with very heavy rainfall in these areas that transition zone is right along 80 in 6.80. and that is subject for some ice formation that is going to make these traveling areas very, very rough. same for 505. if you're heading up this direction. so this whole corridor right here, very, very bad place to be doing a whole lot of driving right now. a little bit further southward. we've also had some rain snow mix along highway 24 crossing from oakland and berkeley on over towards or in the lafayette and eventually walnut creek. things out there slick along highway. 24, i'm definitely imploring you to take it slower in these areas has consistently r

this has been an area where we've seen snow to rain, snow mix as well on up into mendocino and lake counties. it is nothing but snowfall up there and then you get up into areas of sonoma county in a very rough commute. get north of santa rosa and it becomes a mix of snow and rain and then downright snowfall. as you get up towards the mendocino county line. we've got michael thomas standing by right up around here. any stock in the snowfall that you've got that has resulted in some cars that have been pushed off the road just because of how slick it is. now it's consistently wet and rainy conditions on up and down the peninsula as well as the east bay. so no grade, a mix of rain and snow and then highway 17 reyna and will are both going to keep you updated on that because we've had some closures down there from the very, very rough conditions. now we're continuing to see more and more of this energy just following the state right now. heavy rain for the central valley snow on the coastal ranges and the snow officially falling in the sierra as well as in the northern end of the central valley.

lake county. i think napa county, lake county, probably mendocino county and santa cruz mountains are vying for the most snow. i've lived in this home. this is misty faust for over 18 years, and this is the first that's just shy of seven inches of snow. that's a lot of snow. there's been 10 inches of snow up on how mountain multiple reports of 8 to 10 up in the lake county. of course, santa cruz mountains has just been hammered. allan rock 2.5 inches of rain. la honda 1.69 cassandra 1.67 castro valley had an inch and a half of rain. other rainfall totals can't feel it always does well, and this time they did again. 1.61 pleasant in 1 43 sandra fell 1 42 no valley and engine 38 103 months with over an interim dublin with over nature in san francisco and there as well in redwood city, 88 100 san francisco, by the way. set a record low this morning of 39 degrees, breaking the old mark of 40 and 18 91. what makes that even doubly impressive if you will. they didn't do that. with calm conditions and cl

and speaking of snow, lake county under a winter storm warning yet again today.he rest of the bay area. it's been consistently wet, especially on the peninsula, north bay and east bay. some of our heaviest of rain is right now between benicia conquered down to walnut creek and danville. we're seeing pretty heavy rainfall currently following as you head up into solano county valais hold up to fairfield and vacaville still coming down. really good there as well as the case on the richmond center fell bridge. one of the areas that has been seeing it consistently falling pretty heavy for multiple hours now. routes like highway 37 1, 0, 1, 6, 80, 80 as well as 24 and highway 4. i know that's a lot of roads, but these are all areas right here that have been seeing rainfall consistently pretty heavy over the course of the past few hours. so watch out for standing water on those roads, risk of hydroplaning. get out there, get to work. get to that appointment that you need to get to just take it slower. last thing you want to do is be rushing things in weather like this t

mountains picking up several inches of snow with even more further to the north in mendocino and lake countiesr the rain that most of us will experience a lower elevations, we are talking about half an inch of rain on the low end of things, which will be the north bay. a lot of the moisture will be aimed at the southern half of the bay area. it approaches two inches of rainfall in san jose. i think that that is probably overaggressive, but still anything more than an inch of rain if it falls in a short enough period of time could result in a little bit of standing water on the sides of the roads. then we have more rain in the forecast. once we get past a dry day and showers redevelop on sunday, continues into monday and tuesday of next weekend. once again the cold air will still be here so we will see lowering snow levels once again. in the short term we are waiting for all of us develop. it will be cold out there tonight. temperatures dropping down to the 30s across the board, even below 40 degrees in downtown san francisco to start the day and we don't want not much from there. temperatures

it is very snow packed on 1, snow still falling up in mendocino and lake counties as well as in northern napa county. watch for snow on the ground in areas like calistoga see elite as well as cloverdale. well down even a little bit further south in cloverdale as well as up into the mountains towards the coastline in sonoma county. we had snow all the way up the coast up in mendocino and humboldt counties last night. now, as far as i-80 goes, we did have snowfall on 80 earlier this morning on solano county. now that is transition back to rainfall, but it's still pretty slick up there as you're traveling through the north bay. we have some especially slick conditions, east bay hills also have seen a mix of what has been snow to rain and everything in between. you are seeing highway 24 between oakland on up to walnut creek, back to rain now. but we had some mix earlier as well as the case between pleasanton and seminole earlier on this morning along 6.80, most of what we're seeing in the south bay as rain until you transition up into the mountains where that snow is just really halted traff
