this is late merced -- lake merced. this is bigger than golden gate park. imagine them doing that to golden gate park. it is the same idea. there is natural beauty in our surroundings. we do not want to bring in an unwanted populations and disruption to our streets and neighborhoods. right now, there is graffiti in the streets, party going on almost every night. there is littered everywhere. nobody can manage it. they cannot even manage it now. how are they going to manage it later? it is wrong. it is un-san francisco-like. it is appalling, the whole plan. i beg you to take into consideration all our thoughts and concerns about the project. thank you for listening. i was a founding member of the lake merced task force that took on the issues of a declining lake because it is such a jewel out here. this project -- i cannot tell you how disappointed i am you have not been able to make the presentation because it really is one of the most innovative and far-reaching i have seen in a long time. because of its innovation around environmental issues. it fits in very well with the plan. my son will likely be at will or lincoln. we care about what happens out here, and i want to say also i'm sort of disappointed at the amount of fear that has been spread for this meeting. and on the conversation around and control. eliminating rent-controlled units is against the law. it cannot be done. rent-controlled housing is protected. it is sad when people are so afraid of the that it is their entire view without knowing anything about the project. to get an opportunity for this massive and investment in transportation infrastructure is a huge opportunity and should not be taken lightly and should not be squandered. this has a chance to change the traffic patterns, wh

just heard, the treasure island sailing center, south beach yacht club, mission creep, and also lake merced -- mission creek. the eastern waterfront is home to our youth sailing -- commissioner fong: i would like to extend for just a couple more minutes. thank you. >> i had better speak more quickly. the central waterfront is the area where a lot of the youth sailing glasses take place. the no. waterfront is more geared toward senior and up and coming sailors. in 2000, don riley hosted america to vote in the america's cup, and her home base was san francisco. she created the true you sailing program, which continues to exist today through a legacy of hers. in india basin hunters point about 10 years ago, annual program was established to offer kids of all ages the opportunity to spend the day on the water, and this has been widely attended, and kids you can see learning how to tie knots, using the grinder, which helps raise the sail, enjoying a male actor, and food always taste better after a day on the water. i'm a little ahead of the slides, but that is okay. i'm going to keep going. back
