we have thunderstorms in bishop and lake tahoe, as well. most of the activity now around topaz lake up above bear valley here and some stuff out by reno. not as much as a few days ago in the lake tahoe area but still continuing a diurnal -- nights and afternoon thunderstorms. there's the fog along the coast and there's a lot of it now, more than we have seen in the last couple nights. it's a little deeper -- already, across market street, it's in san francisco, it's in the richmond district. you're wearing jackets and gloves and whatever out in the edgemar district of pacifica and daly city. it will be a couple of days with constant fog as it has been this week, which has saved us from those heat advisories. there's the heat advisory up there. you can see the sea breeze, where, just pushes in. the green colors represent temperatures in the 60s and even 50s in some cases like half moon bay. then you see the heat getting shunted out to the east. there's problems on the western grid because you have tucson, phoenix, l.a., everybody sweltering,

there was thunder storm activity yesterday, firing a big time over lake tahoe.ll continue again today. that is why they have a flash flood watch at 2 pm today. gilroy is 60 degrees. it will probably be around 98, the warmest location. 50s and 60s in santa cruz. was southwest, 26, not to shed -- west southwest, 26, not too shabby. we do have good news about richmond bridge. >>> things are getting better. finally, as we see, traffic is improving. we will be looking at the east bay commute because when one bridge gets busy, some people take other bridges. this drive, there is a 30 minute delay. some will to go to the bay bridge but things are beginning to -- some people did go to the bay bridge, but things are beginning to clear up. things are beginning to ease up. here is highway 4. things are getting better around concord, recovering. san mateo is also easing up. if you have the patience to wait around, things are getting a little better as you drive throughout the bay area. let's go back to the desk. >>> here is a look at some of our top stories this morning. we

the real story for us, the lake tahoe area has a bit of monsoon moisture.tle bit early for this time of year. it will sweep up toward lake tahoe and bring thunderstorms. we had a few down toward mammoth today. this activity, you can see all this green. it is sweeping across down toward the -- bear valley. temperatures mid-70s in fairfield and 81 in concord. that doesn't look right, does it? it could be. these temperatures are ahead of where they were last night. the fog is trying. it is not happening. with that said, we still had a nice day on the coast. the greens or 60s and the yellows are 70s. look at all the 80s. the hundreds are staying to the east. but is in sacramento and roseville. right there, that is a classic, early summer, late-midsummer temperature range. maybe a little bit higher than you would expect. we will continue to cool a little more as we head toward the end of the week. you will see that in the 5-day forecast. the weather phenomenon that kills the most people is heat. the kids, the cars, the pets, heat is brutal on people. they are ha
