a lot of smoke from fires around lake tahoe.d this will continue to be an issue not only today but also tomorrow. and that's creating some air quality concerns. here's the satellite today. you can see all of that smoke from numerous fires right here. there is that plume of smoke just stretching through redding over into lake tahoe. for us in the bay area, we have that onshore breeze keeping smoke away from us right now. but again, it is creating issues when we come to air quality. around lake tahoe, unhealthy air quality in a lot of spots because that smoke is just sitting overhead. it's going to stay there tomorrow as well. closer to home with that breeze we're doing a-okay. we have good air quality for most locations this afternoon. as we take a look at the smoke forecast overnight and tomorrow morning, you notice the smoke really is going to stay thick in the same areas it's sitting in right now. so again, tomorrow if you have plans to go to the sierra, just know you will encounter some heavy smoke at times. air quality back

for those of you what south lake tahoe and tuesday into wednesday.t's when that monsoonal moisture is really going to hang tight over that area. and remember with the beckwourth complex fire recent burn scar areas could actually form into mud and debris flows. if any thunderstorms do form that dew poured huge amounts of rain in short amount of time in dried lightning with those outflow. winds of 50 miles per hour wind gusts or less could spark and spread wildfires in that area if they do start. but fortunately tracking calmer conditions for us to start work week monday, drier, more stable air mass in temperatures cooling down to very seasonal averages mid 60's for downtown san francisco low 70's for oakland in mountain view in fremont, 78 degrees with conquered and livermore in the mid 80's. so we're going to be at or slightly below average. but take a look at that jump in temperatures on tuesday warming up into the mid 90's inland and then on wednesday, we're going to notice drier conditions but still going to remain warm with thursday looking even
