there literally a live picture of the conditions in lake tahoe . right now, you can see a layer of smoke and haze in the air over the lake, checking the air quality on air now dot gov. it's considered to be unhealthy for sensitive groups in the truckee area. also in some of the sierra foothills communities like all auburn and colfax, but the air quality conditions there in the tahoe area are expected to worsen in the next 24 hours. now it's all because of the oak fire that's burning west of yosemite inn, mariposa county. that fire broke out on friday, but because of some of the shifting wind and weather patterns, the smoke from it hadn't reached us here in the bay area until today. it's when it's supposed to happen. the national weather service predicts. here in the bay area, smoke will start to drift over the north and east bay's first we don't expect the smoke to affect air quality at the ground level, but it's important for people to stay vigilant, especially if they have a preexisting respiratory condition or sensitive to air pollution. if you s
