(tiffany) a proposed new law would require carmakers to build alarms for back seats to prevent kids from dying in hot cars. this comes after two baby boys died in a hot cars in arizona in the last three days. the law would require cars to be equipped with technology that can alert drivers if a child is left in the back seat once the car is turned off. it would also speed up the criminal process against caregivers who cause the deaths. more than two dozen child and road safety groups are backing the bill.
