you can see the rate lane.fic was slow when they were closing the lanes but since they've got the lanes squared off, it's starting to flow pretty well here across the suspension span. and normally i would say once we have an accident like this on the bay bridge, it's over for the commute; however, with the congestion pricing, i've noticed traffic has been a lot lighter. in fact, at the bay bridge toll plaza they haven't turned object the metering lights early and so far no delays. the other big problem we're following this morning is an overturned big rig in livermore. westbound 580 before airway. take a look at these speed sensors. you can see how quickly traffic is backing from first street all the way towards airway where a couple of the left lanes are blocked and will be for some time. it looks like they've got to clean up some ground cover and bark, possibly fertilizer but they're saying at least it's not hazardous material. however, i am tracking the drive time for you and i will be all morning because it

all lanes, all lanes of northbound 101 currently blocked towards hospital curve. an accident that involved a semi truck and another vehicle. this effects all lanes. folks heading towards the lower deck will have a big problem now. this is causing major slowing towards the toll plaza. if you can get over to 280 northbound, get over to 6th street and take brennan over to 5th, 5 is a better way to get on to the bridge. i hear folks are heading to the lower deck are forced off the freeway at 9th. that's a problem if you're heading out of the city towards oakland. heading into the city, the bay bridge toll plaza is showing no problems, other than an earlier back-up than we've typically seen. this may be a return to the fall traffic. the back-up in the cash lanes over to the 880 overcrossing. the maze itself is moving smoothly. coming out of san francisco, we said the bay bridge approach will be a problem for the lower deck. you might want to head south down 101 over to the 92. this is the san mateo bridge. we will follow that commute down the peninsula and across this

lanes here in san francisco. a superior court judge lifted a 4-year-old injunction, which blocked the city from moving forward with its plan for dozens of new bike lanes. the injunction came about in 2006, when a lawsuit was brought against san francisco, on the grounds city leaders didn't do a sufficient environmental study. now, with the injunction being lifted, the city is able to install three or four new bike lanes. one man is happy because he says it will make biking in the city much safer. >> i think safety should be number 1. and there are a lot of cyclists in san francisco that rely on their bike to get to work. and i'm one of them. and it is a little bit of a tradeoff. but i think it's worth it. >> and that tradeoff will be a loss of curb side parking and traffic lanes in some areas. some of the streets that will be affected are townsend, market, north point and ocean avenue. according to san francisco bicycle coalition, says cycling has increased in the city, 53% since the injunction was put in place 5
