lange is not just searching for pictures inside of the chart. he likes the pattern because it is one of the most reliably bullish patterns out there. it's just a percentage it's more reliable than not. when security breaks out from a handle you get a big move higher. that's what the russell 2000 is doing right now, it's busting out of the downward handle formation, shooting higher. lange thinks this move is in its infancy. of course there's more to it than that. take a look at the volume bars, you can see that the russell 2000 has had strong volume on the up days since mid november and much lower on the down days. this is a classic case, down much lower volume and flips, classic sign the big institutions are in there buying and the moving average convergence/divergence line is still in positive territory. i mean look, volume down, mac-d going higher. wow. this is staggering stuff. russell 2000 is a huge buy, it's a great-looking chart. check out the russell 2000 monthly chart, now we're going to look at the seasonal pattern that lange says is wo
