langford said that holland had the victims film themselves. again while these new charges were filed today- here at the regional justice center closing arguments kicked off in the initial case against holland. robert langford, special prosecuting attorney: new charges were filed in henderson justice court this morning they are similar allegations the case here. because were waiting for the jerry he probably won't make appearance tomorrow expect that either will be. later in the week or possibly next week holland was arrested in december 2010 on charges related to sexually assaulting girls and women from his church. he was then charged with lewdness with a minor in 2011. holland then fled nevada and was eventually found in tijuana where by mexican police. while the prosecution argues that holland met with the victims in private and pretended like he was counseling them, the defense argues that the victims were scorned by holland and jealous to be sharing his attention. the jury has wrapped up for the day at 5 and will be back tomorrow at 9 am.

let me ask you this -- senator langford ronna been excellent point.bility to trace perform an adequate background check is only as good as the information coming in. as we saw in the charleston, south carolina incident, it was unable to be traced to that individual. the localaining at level? is it the examiner? what happened there? i think you know that the examiners are dedicated and do their jobs with great commitment. in the charleston case, my the arrest wass located in one particular jurisdiction but the query was made of another jurisdiction. and because there was not a conviction yet, it prevented it from being the courts system, so the examiner followed all the queries as per normal and the information was literally sitting in an adjoining counties docket and was not pulled in to that. it was wrinkly heartbreaking to all of us who work on this matter from the fbi and throughout the department of justice. even then reasons why we began looking at the ways to improve the system and the fbi director commissioned a report, being able to modernize
