lanza no longer looks at family photos. "you can't mourn for the little boy he once was," he explained. "you can't fool yourself." adam lived with his mother, nancy, after his parents divorced. as the young man grew more troubled and isolated, lanza said his ex-wife was almost a prisoner in his own home.
