i was very happy in lapd, i love that city, love the department, and very happy in h.p.d. but it is funny how good and god works. i do what you can do and put yourself in a position when the opportunity comes, take advantage of it and that is how this played out. being the fact this is the place i always wanted to live and the opportunity came up and it felt right to me and when i started to research the city and the infrastructure and what the mayor is doing and the mayor's vision, it felt even more right so i am so excited to be part of this. we are just a police department that is part of the total big picture but it is an important piece and why take it slightly l is a last work to be done, a lot of reforms on the agenda, and chief chaplin has reached out to me and been gracious and i am look forward to working with him to get to where we need to get to so, thank you, again, for allow me to be your chief.
