let's look at a great time lapse. this is beautiful. i posted the time lapse of the sunrise on facebook and twitter. look at this one. look at that color. and the scattered clouds but a look at how the low clouds of bubble up and fill in. that is a good way to indicate how much of low level moisture there is in the atmosphere. of course, we do have the sun peaking out in between those clouds. let's take a look along the western edge of the blue ridge a few showers. right up near gettysburg. and number carroll county. this is along the boundary that was set up a couple days ago and has been lingering overhead. that is the main firing line for showers and thunderstorms. prince william county and loudoun county have had the heaviest rain because they have been along the boundary. a triggering mechanism for these showers. we will see a similar situation later on today from northern ireland through northern virginia -- northern maryland through northern virginia. east of frederick, a few light showers. shenandoah valley, south of luray, we h

it is a simple time lapse i have a for you. one thing i like about this in particular is look how the clouds are moving in different directions. the low-level clouds have a western flow and the upper level clouds move the opposite direction. that is what we call wind shear in our atmosphere. this little time lapse here of our sky conditions. farther to the northwest of town. not so bad. 72 in the district. 72 in fredericksburg. quantico lazily warmer than everybody else -- 75. 72 in annapolis. this indicates the amount of humidity in the air. the higher the number, the more uncomfortable and monday it is. the lower number, such as 45 in detroit, the more comfortable and less humidity air is. this less humid, more comfortable there will be filtered into town. i know the humidity has been oppressive over the last few days. you noticed it. it will be a big improvement when you open your window. behind this cold front behind it will have that cooler air. down to our southwest, we're watching this rain organize and develop. we have
