larkin i chair matthews. a member. pantoja i member sanderlin i member. tung i could please move to item four. item. four presentation on the 2011 road repaving and street safety geo bond program and possible action by the committee in response to such presentation. good good morning, chair matthews. vice chair crawford. members of the committee edmond lee public works project manager. i'm here to present an update to the 2011 road repaving and street safety bond. this morning, this bond was was a total of approximately $250 million. that was spread across six different programs and just to mention that we are in the closeout phase, we had completed all the goals and objectives that this bond had originally intended. having said that, the six different programs that we performed improvements to was the street repaving and reconstruction. with about $149 million. the streetscape bicycle, pedestrian safety approximately $50 million traffic signal and street improvements through our sister agency. mta $20 million assessable curb ramps $14 million accessible

multiple buildings and there is a new one that probably has opened by now at turk and larkin, it is a old tire sales office. they also have a clinic and housing across three buildings. the clinic grew out of the tb work dr. francis curry the city health director many many years ago and whom the site is named. the russian community center, two members went out and visited it and it is a small site in the inner-richmond. i have driven by it is a few time and very tiny. it is a pretty self--contained group that knows what it wants and services are driven by the client. majority of their clients receive home delivered-those receiving nutrition service receive home delivered meals. there are about 30 people that meet in person. there is one social worker, so most everything happens in russian and what the two council members noticed in the discussion is the director was not familiar with all the services that were available. they tried to educate on what was available to the clients. there will be a senior power wellness and grand parent day celebration in district 4, and as many know, cal

and hyde and fulton and hyde specifically requesting some pedestrian scrambles or around the larkin area for yielding to increase, yielding to pedestrians et-cetera with the heart of the city farmers market. so i think these are things to file away for from we next two weeks from now hearing . but if you want to speak to that in the context of this item , sure, i can try to address it quickly. jamie parks, livable streets director with sfmta. the quick build project on hyde that you'll hear in two weeks does have comprehensive pedestrian safety improvements throughout the corridor. it but it may not include all of the recent community requests around fulton and around the farmers market. so that may have to be considered separately if there's additional pedestrian safety improvements we need to do for the farmers market. yeah, i think that would be that would be good. and all in all, check with the team on that after approvals because i think with the high volume of people at that area as well as the hopefully increased customer load for the heart of the city farmers market, i think

familiar in the community, a lot more partners that we collaborate with, such as brilliant corners, larkin street and so forth. the moving costs are provided as well, but it's also a tiered subsidy. the best thing about this program, it allows the clients to also cash out and create a savings if they're doing what they need to do, such as paying their rent three consecutive months or being employed for four months at a time. and holding consistent employment. so we want to reward those things for them. this also has a case management with them. they meet with clients on a weekly basis on support with brilliant corners. we support with the housing, navigation and landlord mitigation and advocating for the clients with any issues that arise with their partners. our rapid rehousing data has served so far. 93 youth collectively 39 identified as female, 49 identified as male to identified as transgender 70 identified as black or african american. 29 stated that they had mental health 18 identified as being part of the lgbtq plus community and 24 of our youth identified as former foster youth. a
