i'm larry biel. >> and i'm ama daetz. an investigation is under way in san francisco after a body was discovered in a lake at golden gate park. police now say it's a homicide. abc 7 news reporter melanie woodrow joins us live with the details. melan melanie? >> reporter: ama, investigators pulled down the crime scene tape that had been surrounding a large perimeter of this park in front of the lake where this man haes body was found. they pulled down that crime scene tape late this afternoon but not before doing something else first. they drained the lake soifrping for evidence. san francisco homicide investigators along with the medical examiner's office spent morning investigating a suspicious death. a city gardner found a man's body facedown in the lake. >> that the point, all that homicide can say is that it does appear there may have been a strug elf. >> reporter: investigators drained the lake searching for clues. at least 12 evidence markers line the path outside the lake. at one point officer
