nbc bay area political analyst larry gerston is here to break down the issues and theaeir importance was surprised to read about all of this, how active the state has been in suing the trump administration, right? >> yeah, remarkably active when you consider everything else that the state has been that vibrant and it's all about attorney general xavier becerra who has initiated 24 lawsuits in 17 subject areas. if you think about it these lawsuits to stop or reverse current policies all stem from a state with collective political values far different from those of the current president. no kidding. it's important to remember that california with nearly 11 million immigrants, more than one quarter of the nations immigrants legal legal and undocumented has been the most successful state in implementing a series of laws helpful to undocumented immigrants. beyond that the state has embraced the affordable care act like no other and has become the nation's role model for environmental change policies on everything from auto emission toss frack flag. it's basra, though, bacerra who has used
