nbc bay area political analyst larry gerston joins us with a look ahead of tomorrow's electoral collegerry. as always, thank you for joining us. good to see you. >> good morning. >> as of friday's decision and tomorrow's pending decision, is the presidential election finally over? >> almost. almost, kira. tomorrow all the states meet. it's a ritual type of a thing. every state's electors will gather up and say how the state voted. of course in california it will be 55 electors who go for biden. texas, for example, will be 38 who go for trump. they'll send the results in to the vice president mike pence who serves, by the way, as president of the senate, and that will be his job to deal with these things on january 6th. note i said january 6th, so, no, we're not over yet. >> is that because january 5th the georgia run-off election -- >> no, actually it has nothing to do with that. that just happens to be a coincidence. on january 6th congress meets. the vice president then opens up all the various envelopes from the various states and at that point, at that point if one member of each ch
