god bless larry hogan. he really thought outside the box and was very creative. but that piece is where the federal government can help us. take that national manufacturer and that supply chain for the national manufacturers, and let the federal government figure out south korea, china and international supply issues rather than have 50 states now figure out how to go be like governor hogan and figure out how to buy tests in south korea. that's where the federal government should help. that's the intelligent distribution of responsibility on testing. so the federal government is right. the states should take the lead, yes. partnership, federal government, you have to help us with this national manufacturer and the supply list. after you do the testing, states have a second big task, put together an army of tracers who then trace each person who tested positive, who did they contact and then isolate those people who you contact. also, talk about reopening, we're going to make reopening decisions on a regional basis, based on that region's facts and circumstances a

as you heard there, governor larry hogan saying that they got all of those phone calls from people asking about those comments. so i think we're going to see the briefings scale back. important to note, andrea, there is going to be an event with retail industry leaders later on this afternoon. that is going to be a chance for us to ask president trump some questions. but this does come as we're getting a sense that the strategy overall is shifting here, andrea, as states start to reopen, that there is going to be a renewed focus on the economy. so we're going to see that here at the white house today and then we're going to see it in the coming weeks. i am told that president trump is going to hold events here at the white house, but also as he looks to go out on the road and to visit some of these states that are starting to slowly reopen, to try to put the focus back on this issue that is, of course, so critical to his re-election, andrea. >> and to that point, he has also a disagreement among his economic advisers, because you have a very rosy scenario or rosier scenario, we should say
