larsen: i rise in support of this. last november after passing the house and senate by unanimous consent, the wounded warriors act was signed into law. no one who sustained an injury should have to choose between earning a paycheck or earning health care. it provides with upfront veteran leave during the first 12 months on the job. act that ed leave anyone who is hired. that legislation applies to federal personnel covered under title 5. those not covered under title 5 are not able to use these leave benefits. my own state of washington, there are 650 veterans who work they hireda. and and 350 veterans eachier. and may be unable to get the health care that they need. an effort to expand these benefits, representative libed introduced this bipartisan bill earlier this month. this ensures that newly hired employees receive the same disabled leave. this legislation will help ensure that no newly hired veteran is faced with the choice between earning a pay dele check or health care or the work that was started by the wound
