a short time late eer, the house explode killing powell and the two young children. police say this was no accident. >> we believe it was an intentional fire. >> reporter: this is just the latest twist in twot-year long saga in the search for susan powell, josh's missing wife. she was reported missing in 2009. her husband told detectives he'd taken their then 2 and 4-year-old sons camping. detectives could never disprove his story, and pow became a person of interest in the case. searchers combed the powell's utah neighborhood, even isolated desert areas, hoping e ining fi trace of the 28-year-old mother. her husband's family told investigators and press that susan may have run off with another man, but her family called those accusations ludicrous, saying she'd never leave her children. last september, josh powell's father steven was arrested on several charges, including voyeurism and child pornography. following that arrest, custody of the powell children, who had been living in the same house, was given to susan's parents. just days ago, a judge denied josh powel
