i was latin america. i wanted to continue writing about it but not about myself.my father had told me stories when i was a kid about latin america that is one of the places he was based as a navy officer. my agent whom shall remain nameless told me this isn't going to be a book about her father is it [laughter] my father is not anywhere in it but the stories he told be sparked my interest during world war ii about which i could find no book in english that looked at the overall picture so i decided to write a book i decided i wanted to read. >> the style of the book what is interesting is that the chapter tells a story that is vivid and you made some decisions describe how you came to your decisions.
