have the courage to become latoya? and actually step up and not give up. and so that's why we thought we couldn't get a better speaker today for a neighborhood empowerment necessary work initiative than someone who is empowered her neighborhood and networked her community across now this country. and notably and significantly in san francisco to talk about what she's done. she's an inspiration. featured in time magazine, new york times. he is a relative of latoya karr of fairfield, a wal-mart employee who helped set up the robbery.olice are asking anyone with information on the case to contact police. >>> advocates to advocates for the homeless took over buildings around the area to show how they can be used as housing for the homeless. >> reporter: the people who spent the night at the building will likely not spend the night there tonight. >> we contacted the owners of the billing, the owner wanted them arrested so we signed a seize order for them. >> you've been told what you can do. >> reporter: police say the squatters did not resist arrest but they did not make it easy for police who had to come make the arrest inside. police arrested up to five people on suspicion of trespassing. three hours earlier we got a tour of the building by a homeless advocate who spent the night. advocates claim there are two empty housing units for every person that does not have a place to live. they say buildings like these should be taken over if the owner is not taking responsibility for it. >> we are willing to take over th
