laura: the u.s.nal weather service says more heavy rainfall is expected across california in the coming hours, heightening the risk of further flooding. our correspondent james cyton sent to this update from santa cruz, south of san francisco where rising water levels have turned roads into this. >> 24 hours ago this house here was submerged in water. you can actually see the flood level here. what happened to the owners of this house here is they got marooned, trapped in their own house. these guys are the lucky ones, because as you can see, this is their garage. they don't actually live on the top floor but you can see these houses here do have areas on e ground floor and some of these homes have been absolutely decimated by the floodwater. what is left is just mud, coating peoples properties. some people got away with relatively little damage. others are much less lucky. the real worry here is that there is simply plenty more rain forecast and it is more than possible that this could happen again.
