laura anthony has been watching this. >> you're at 14th and broadway. what's happening where you are? >> dan that, crowd that allen was describing is actually a heated -- heeded police warnings and vacated this area. the police gave a five-minute warning and told several hundred protestors some started to sit down where we are. it appears they're fixing for a confrontation. police gave a five-minute warning warned they're going to disperse tear gas and declared it unlawful. there are more minutes of tense moments and then, proestors got up and started walking down the street. actually, towards 15th street. and 16th street. you can see better at this point. where they are exactly. but apparently they weren't ready to be exposed to tear gas at least at this location. so you can see now police are still here, the and the plaza still secure, protestors have moved down the street towards 15th. >> and this is a developing story. you can tell much protestors have been pulled to disband. so far we reported just a little while ago, police have not had to move in

three graduates were all there, and laura anthony was there. they made an impact. didn't they? >> that is right. they spoke about 20 minutes and there are folk that's were quite happy to see them. and before that things got tense this, is video from our own photographer randy davis, surrounded at one point by demonstrators who objectedded to his taking video of the camp. and there are a couple reporters and police were called and confronted by protestors who chanted for them to leave. again this, is a public space and demonstrators decided and they say they made their own laws, excluding media. after that, three hikers took center stage. >> we came back to this country and this feels like coming home, coming home to oakland. this is amazing and this is amazing. to come back and he see the city like this is really a wonderful home coming. >> new york city i saw people playing chess. so great system. free food. camp similar to this. it was inspiring. there are executives talking it out with protestors. and then, here in oakland i feel like my freedom hit a whole other level being

laura anthony has the story from walnut creek. >> it's a scene not often scene on the -- seen on the streets of walnut creek. there are protesters near the bank of america. railing against corporate greed. >> are you angry? >> i think it's time people start talking about it ask talking about issues. >> in contra costa county a particular target, mortgage industry blamed by many for the crisis that cost many here their homes. and in the case of don britain, his job with a mortgage company. >> is this something you might want to participate in? >> i might. >> a spokesman for california mortgage bankers association said the industry sympathizes with protestors quote we encourage them to join us in finding positive solutions so we can move forward, put people back to work and get our economy back on track. the protesters say they're in no mood to join unwith the mortgage industry or any corporation in america. >> why are the institutions being held accountable? why don't we create a situation where they pay back for creating this recession? >> and there is comments have been in support.
