laura anthony at oakland international airport. >> this one of several airports in the west. that was affected by this software glitch, we're told. that is located in palmdale. at the time of the ground stop there is no activity on the tarmac there as flights were halted. faa ordered flights halted at 2:00 today software glitch occurred. there were flights actually in route to los angeles diverted here to the bay area. we can take a look at sfo. we have a live picture of sfo. we understand four flights were diverted and landed in san francisco supposed to go to southern california. a couple that had taken off from sfo and headed to los angeles but we're told to turn around and go back and land. now, at 3:30 the ground stop was lifted but the residual affects could last sometime. we're told now that the delays are down to about 20 to 40 minutes they were up to two hours. some of the other airports affected, las vegas, phoenix, salt lake city. the ground stop has been lifted and the glitch fixed but anyone going to the airports might be aware there could be some delays into the
