laura anthony has a look at this effort to help build a better bay area. laura? >> well, hi there. a park n ride is meant to get people out of their cars and into commuting with others. but in this case here in concord, this park n ride had become so problematic that people were actually afraid to park their cars here. neighbors say it's been a long time coming. a major cleanup of a park n ride in concord that has been overrun by a homeless encampment, garbage and illegal dumping. do you park your car here? >> yeah. >> do you feel safe? >> no. >> the park n ride is on property owned by caltrans. so it was caltrans crews that moved in in force to do the cleanup. the effort came only after local blog, claycourt.com posted a story on the lot and commuters' fears about using it. >> this should have been done a lot sooner. >> the sales manager of the car dealership next door says he is synthet sympathetic to the homeless, even giving them food and hot water, but the issues in the lot have become an issue for employees and customers. >> needles, bottles, blankets, food. it's not safe for
