i know you've been talking to dimaggio's only surviving sibling, laura. >> today has been a rough day. the body has been transported and will be cremated. she will have it cremated so there won't be a grave site where people can cause a disturbance or what not. she's taken hair samples. she's interested in getting a toc college report to see if he was using a meth or drugs with the working thesis that brought on this horrible tragedy. >> let me bring in ed smart, if i may. you're one of the few people, i guess, in america who knows exactly how brett, hanna's father has been feeling in the last week. obviously, a very happy ending to this, as indeed, it was in your case, but tell me how you feel about what he's going through and what add voice you would give them as a family going forward? >> well, you know, you're on this roller coaster certainly with the death of his wife and son that had to be, i would almost say catastrophic, and then to not know whether your daughter was still alive or not for a period of time, you know, we had that roller coaster effect emotionally that, you know

those answers may have died with dimaggio but the person closest to dimaggio speaks out, his sister laura joining me. obviously, a very difficult time for you and your family and everyone connected with this. have you got any answers to the questions, i'm sure you've been asking yourself about what your brother is alleged to have done? >> what specifically answer? specific questions would you be referring to? >> do you know why he did it? >> how do you know that he did it would be my question for you. there is no evidence. the only evidence that has come forward at this point is the fact that these two bodies were found on his property. i think there is a lot of holes in the case. there is a lot of missing information. i have yet to see any solid evidence. >> what do you think happened? >> in my heart of hearts, i think that hanna perhaps got herself into a situation that she couldn't get herself out of, and i do believe that my brother gave his life to protect her. >> do you really believe that, laura? >> i do. >> i mean, all the evidence points to him having left a booby trapped propert

the rumors circulating about a possible relationship about james dimaggio and christina who died and they are trying to lay blame at laurajames' sister for going after the money and life insurance. what is your reaction to that? >> first of all, i think they are going through the natural process of grief and as i've been saying all along, at some point there will be a need for the family to understand what motivated jim to do these atroes shows acts. laura denied she's after the money. in fact, as i said on the show last time she spoke directly to brett, the father, brett anderson and said that she was not going to contest the money going to him or -- i'm sorry, actually his mother, that jim intended that to go to the children, both children. so i don't know why they are saying she's after money. she hasn't gotten paid to do any interview. she's scared for her life at this point and getting harassed by the media and hate mail, as have i. that isn't really part of this story, as far as i'm concerned. >> are you able to shed any more light on these wild rumors about some relationship between james dimaggio and christina, h
