i'm laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. we're learning of a man shot while driving on 680 in the south bay. bob redell is live for us. do we know what started this? >> we don't. not as of yet. the investigation is still really early right now. marcus, we can tell you that chp has shut down northbound 680 between alum rock and berryessa as they investigate the shooting. they're looking for evidence that is going to affect the morning commute here in san jose, and they're trying to find out who shot the driver of this black honda accord right here five bullet hos. i looks like two others on the driver's side, plus the front left tire which issh psenger were driving north on 680 around 3:00 this morning. someone in another car started shooting at this car. the driver said it happening between mckie and berryessa. one of the bullets hit the driver in his back right shoulder. he eventually pulled off at hofstetter and ended up at the 7-eleven where he waited for police. he was conscious, talking, able to show officers his wound.

i'm laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. thank you for joining first, we want to go to the stabbing investigation near the fremont warm springs b.a.r.t. station. >> bob redell live at the scene. what have you learned so far, bob? >> well, good morning to you. a couple hours ago, around 2lic 30 this morning, there was an adult man stabbed on an access road or in the parking lot here at the warm springs b.a.r.t. station. b.a.r.t. police have taped off a section of warm springs boulevard in front of the station. there's some objects in the middle of the road, like a white plastic bag. don't know if that's something that belongs to the victim. the victim's condition is unknown and they have not made any arrested. they do not have any suspect info as of yet. i spoke with a police lieutenant who tells us they have surveillance cameras and they're trying to review them to identify the suspect and hopefully get a description out there or track this person down. as a result, there is limited access just in the front of the station. r

i'm laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. the stabbing at the b.a.r.t. station really affecting traffic, and mike, what are we seeing? >> not really affecting traffic except for right about one spot, but it will be an alarming scene when people arrive at the warm springs station. we call that out, you heard b.a.r.t. station in warm springs police activity. the investigation is right by the station. you'll see flashing lights on your arrival. bob redell tells us the station itself is clear. i see no delays reported for the lines traveling into and out of the area, but watch for police activity and watch for police tape to continue the investigation. they'll direct you on either side. the station is open, full access at the warm springs station itself. no delays reported for any of the other transit agencies. as we look at your bigger view of the commute, you see mild slowing for san jose and tri-valley and east bay. the tri-valley, no real slowing in pleasanton. that's a great drive. looking towards san jose, mild slowing for 101 and a crash 87 at taylor.
