i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> good morning. i'm marla tellez in for jon kelley. police spent most of the night at this home on wilson avenue just across from interstate 580, from fruitvale elementary school. today in the bay's christie smith is outside children's hospital in oakland where the two other children are being treated. she joins us now on the phone. christie, at this point what have you learned? >> reporter: good morning. i can tell you we're outside of children's hospital in oakland where we aren't seeing much activity in terms of family members coming and going, but what a horrible story. a grandmother and three young children shot, as you said, one of them has died. oakland police are telling us they got a call of shots fired activation around is 1:15. that's the system that alerts them of gunfire. they also got neighborhood calls of gunfire in the 3400 block of wilson avenue. that's the lower diamond neighborhood. police say when they arrived they found a grandmother and two 7-year-old girls shot, also a 4-year-old boy was hit. all of the children

"today in the bay's" bob redell is live in burlingame overlooking the crash site which has been fairly active in the last few hours. good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning, laura and jon. you can see over my shoulder that workers have been out on runway 28l. they've been out there since last night cutting apart that boeing 777 aircraft that was once asiana flight 214. it's too big to be taken away whole. throughout the night a crane has been lifting the pieces out of that grass si area and hauling them to another site on airport property until the airport can find a permanent place to store the wreckage or have it salvaged. one reason this is an around-the-clock operation, the airport is rushing to get the runway reopened hopefully by sunday afternoon. with only three runways in operation, travelers have been experiencing delays and some cancellations since saturday morning's crash.

i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm jon kelley. good morning everyone.t to get to the breaking news out of san francisco where an overnight house fire uncovers a marijuana grow. now investigators are trying to figure out who owns the pot. the investigation on going at the home on tucker avenue near bayshore boulevard and highway 101 in the visitacion valley neighborhood. this is where "today in the bay's" christie smith is with the latest. you've been out there looking around. what do you know. >> reporter: good morning, jon. firefighters say when they first arrived on this block, they thought this fire started in a neighbor's home. they kept looking and saw smoke coming from this pink house here. inside they found a marijuana grow operation and this is some of what burned out here in the street. you can see what looks like grow lights and tubs, but they also describe an extremely hazardous situation inside for firefighters. they actually had to enter through the garage door because the front door was reinforced. it started around 12:40 at a home on tuck

i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm jon kelley. good morning to one and all. we have breaking news out of san francisco to talk about. a two-alarm fire turns into a police investigation at a suspected marijuana grow house in visitacion valley. that on going at the home on tucker avenue near bayshore and highway 101. that's where our christie smith is live on scene. christie, you see some evidence there of the pot grow sitting right there out in the driveway, correct? >> reporter: yeah, good morning to you, jon. there are what looks like grow lights and some hydro uponic equipment burned up. heaters, fans, some vents here in the driveway. this kind of shows what firefighters were dealing with inside. they tell us the skylights and windows were actually all boarded up, making it a hazard to get around. they actually had to enter the home through the garage door which is taped up this morning. not only that, they say the electrical system inside the home was rigged throughout with live wires, someone apparently bypassed the pg&e boxes outside the home. when san f

. >> i'm laura garcia-cannon. happening in oakland, fbi agents are joining dozens of police officers in the search for 21-month-old daphne viola webb. it's been 19 hours since the little girl's father reported her missing triggering an amber alert. the father said his daughter was snatched from his car on 79th avenue near the coliseum. but his story has several twists. "today in the bay's" christie smith joins us in oakland live where the girl's father lives. >> reporter: oakland police say the father is not a suspect, but they're still spending time trying to establish the last time people saw the father and the little girl together. as you said, it's now been more than 18 hours since little daphne webb was reported missing. police and the fbi have been searching for her. they've been searching here in this neighborhood. this is where the dad stayed. there are four patrol cars out here. police tape up around the apartment building. we have a picture of daphne viola webb, just 21 months old. her father says he dro
