i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm sam brock. we will be with you every step of the way now. >> i feel like i have been through a lot of the south bay. taking back roads, taking a lot of different directions to get here this morning. like a lot of people will be doing. >> we had a complete closure. a live shot of 101 just north of the 680/2080 interchange sam was talking about. look at the lights right here. they are traveling north on 101. you're forced off the freeway just before you get to 280/680. a few cars heading southbound. i'll assume they are chp and caltrans. i'll give you any updates on any openings. anything north of the dumbarton bridge, completely fine. we had the closure for niles canyon that we continue to follow. full closure for both directions of 101. it is is a critical portion of the south pay. this is where we see the first slowing of the morning. we will see slowing on the approach coming up in the area. over toward 280 or 87 southbound. use that corner here as your workaround to avoid the stretch of 101.
