i'm kris sanchez in for laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm sam brock. a little haze in the air, in the skies. will that clear up as we had head into the weekend? >> not the whole bay area. we know that we've seen the clouds along the coast and in san francisco pretty much all weeklong. that does not change while the inland areas will be heating up. right now we all start out in the 50s as you get ready to head out the door and mostly cloudy skies. as we go into this afternoon, the tri-valley up to 89 degrees. those winds kicking up, too. 68 degrees in san francisco and a hot 90 degrees for the north bay. i'll give you a closer look at temperatures and what you can expect coming up. mike is tracking crashes in san jose. >> two crashes in the south bay here, kari. green speed sensors all over the place. this just popped up. 680. i'll check on that. meanwhile right now i do know northbound 85 at blossom hill, the crash involving a vehicle with a lot of damage to it, not a lot of injuries. it's over on the right shoulder. that one still there on the roadway

i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm sam brock. at the same point where you can't see buildings in san francisco, clear skies. >> we have fog that will help bring down temperatures. yesterday was the warmest day of the week. today, we start the transition as we go into the next several days. our temperatures will be cooler. mild as you get ready to step out the door. going to see the highs in the south bay reaching into the upper 70s to low 80s. we also have mid 80s for the inland areas, and for the peninsula, expect high temperatures to reach thigh 60s low 70s. and the north bay into the low 80s. and mike, you already have some activity in the tri-valley? >> a very early crash that had all lanes blocked for a while in eastbound 580. that has cleared heading to the altamont pass and you're back to just your typical westbound slowing through the construction zone, but also in livermore, west 580, we heard about a hit-and-run crash. chp is looking for details and maybe a witness, but we don't have any lanes blocked. activity is still

. >> and i'm laura garcia-cannon. let's turn it over to kari.the forecast, really unusual lately. >> rain, thunderstorms in the north bay, and now snow in the sierra. it is crazy to talk about this in june. rr talking about chain controls and you can still see it coming down if you will be heading in that direction. i want to show you what it looks like right now, live picture at heavenly. you can barely see anything. visibility is low as the snow continues and high temperatures only in the upper 40s today, but then temperatures climbing over the next several days. that will be the trend in the bay area as well. looking at san francisco. we'll be in the low 60s today. some low 70s for friday, and the weekend, some mid 70s. inland areas in the valley, it is really going to be hot. mid 90s by the end of the week after this nice and cool start. we'll take a look ahead to the weekend and what's going on, whether you'll be staying home or hitting the road, and mike is checking in on a crash in the tri-valley. >> i'm confused because you're showing me
