police say a shooting in laurel last night is now a homicide investigation. it happened after 9 o-clock near the intersection of contee road and larchdale road. was found suffering from a gunshot wound. the victim died at a nearby hospital. there is no word on possible suspects or a motive for the shooting. a charles county community is urging awareness following last month's arrest of carlos bell. he is the former charles county teacher aide and track coach accused of sexually abusing children-- all while being h-i-v positive. now parents want to make sure this never happens again. last night, they teamed up with a panel of health and h-i-v experts to host a town hall at the church at st. charles. there they shared tips and warning signs to look out for heading into the new school year. experts also say most of the cases of child sexual abuse are people your children know. charles county public schools plan to hold an informational session for the public.. next friday at benjamin stoddert middle school. the "7 on your side" into why it took months... for pol
