lauren coronado from our sister station in los angeles is live where a couple had a frightening nightinutes from pasadena in l.a. county. the couple had a really scary situation happen. take a look behind me. the couple was in their bedroom when this tree came crashing down. it's an oak tree and it was split right in half. in fact, the left part came down first, i just spoke with a neighbor who tells me it sounded like a mudslide hit. this left part of the tree fell down onto the couple's home, the couple had to be rescued. they got out safely. then about 20 second later, the second half of the tree came down. it fell on the front yard and downed power lines. socal edison power workers were out here assessing the damage, two to three homes are left without power, and then here on the street you can see part of the roadway is blocked. this is just one example of the widespread damage across socal, and we also know our meteorologists have been tracking gusts as strong as 78 miles per hour in wind-prone areas, flooding and road closures scattered around socal as well. so a major cleanup

"today in the bay"'s ginger conejero saab is live at sfo, and, ginger, even this early in the morning the storm is already impacting some flights there, is that right? >> reporter: well, good morning to you, kira. it is a busy morning here at sfo. you can take a peek there behind us at the security lines. but it is unclear ifhat' t part of the monday rush as people head back to their flights or if that is impact from tropical storm hilary. what we do know is out of sfo there are eight cancellations and five delays. that sounds like a very small number compared to the number of flights. so we're not quite sure how much of that is the storm, but that's flying out of sfo, flying into sfo there are a bit more delays, 21 delays

lauren coronado from our sister station in los angeles has the details. >> reporter: we are down the street from that bar. you can see law enforcement blocking the road for the investigation, and witnesses described the night as chaotic, just awful. they say people were running and hiding and ducking as the shots rang out in the bar. according to the orange county sheriff's department the shooting happened around 7:00 last night here at cook's corner, a biker bar. the gunman walked in and started shooting randomly. three were killed and six others were injured, five of who were shot. of the injured, two are in the hospital in critical condition, and four others are considered stable. the shooter, who we are told, was former law enforcement, was shot and killed by responding deputies. as for the investigation, deputies say one weapon was recovered from the bar last night, and at least 30 to 40 witnesses were expected to be interviewed overnight. a devastating night, and a lengthy investigation under way. we expect to learn much more about those who were killed and those injured as wel
