hall. you were at m and t bank stadium and lauren and lynette, they were along the parade routes there as well in mckeldon square, and early estimates were around 50,000 or so, those were the expected numbers. but in the end it was a reported 200,000 people showing up to welcome home this baltimore ravens team. and talking to some of the guys on the team, talking to ed reid, also talking to some of the p.r. people with the raven's franchise, megan, they say there was a real difference between this fan base of this year's ravens super bowl team and the team back in super bowl 35, the 2000-2001 team. they said that team back in 35 was more of a surprise, but this fan base this year was more determined. there was more of a feeling, this team deserved to be there, also believed they were underrated after being 9-2 and then losing four of their next five, so they became the underdogs. they were the underdogs against denver, they were the underdogs against new england and the underdogs in super bowl xlvii. it came down to the ravens standing atop the national football league's heap of world champion
