let's get you to lauryn ricketts. lauryn? >> we've got this weather that's moving into our region pretty quickly. look at this snow. geevgt the blizzard warnings in red, the winter storm warnings in pink. the difference are going be the wind that picks up after 6:00 tonight. not a lot of time before that snow starts. a lot of it evaporating before it hits the ground. we're seeing a lot of it gather on the ground toward richland, and going through the shenandoah valley. this is going to don't intense five after about the new hour. baltimore after about 2:00 p.m. and this is what we're expecting. yes, 20 to 30 inches of snow. when you wake up tomorrow morning, you're going have a foot of snow on the ground. get to where you need to go right now because after we get into the new hour, early afternoon, all bets are off because once it starts falling, it is going to gather on the ground all too quickly as we know because of those road temperatures. a little bit less in accumulation toward southern maryland because of sleet mixing

lauryn ricketts is outside on the weather deck because she loves the snow so much, don't you, lauryn? >> yeah. >> we're going to be covering it throughout the rest of the morning into the afternoon. the last of the snow is well off the atlantic seaboard, although, there's a little snow falling in cape code, martha's vineyard, nantucket, but it hammered all along the i-95 corridor and new york city and southern new england. new york city had over 2 feet of snow. and locally here, we had our snowfall records at reagan national airport. tied fourth place, but this 17.8 is bull called into question as to whether or not this is an accurate record. that may be revised. b.w./marshall, all time record. in nearby prince george's, 2 feet. much of montgomery county, 30 to 35 inches. much of fairfax county had 20 to 30 inches. right inside the beltway, 25 inches were common. across the rest of northern virginia, up around 30 inches. farther south along 66 into the shenandoah valley. winchester, 36 inches. the highest amounts were right along into the potomac river from harpers ferry to shepherdst
