lavern took it upon herself to empower herself.she didn't allow naysayers to tell her that her dream was not possible. she did not allow obstacles and distractions and her life to keep her from staying focused on the goal and her dream. and so she is a great example of following through and making things happen for her life. i was able to attend her graduation ceremony this past week with ten other graduates, and it really just speaks to the spirit of "the memo." so we're very excited to have you here today, to hear directly from the author himself, john hope bryant, who i am proud to i've been a friend since going back to compton. over 30 years. and recently i just moved to atlanta sun even more excited to be your personal edition of this experience with you. so again without further ado let's give a round of applause to the founding chairman and ceo of operation hope, john hope bryant.
