let's check the roads with elizabeth. >>> okay, thanks lawrence. our own roberta gonzales is driving around the bay area spotted some fog right here near the dublin interchange. so just a heads up near the 580/680 corridor, may hit some fog could slow you down. drive time looks great, though, 14 minutes between the altamont pass and the dublin interchange. much better news for commuters between the east bay and san francisco. between the peninsula and san francisco, emergency pothole repair closed several lanes both directions of the bridge last night. it caused gridlock for the late evening commute. right now things look great coming into the bay bridge. the repairs are done. westbound lanes re-opened about 2:30 a.m. this is the last tweet from 511 bay area. so far everything appears to be going great. we haven't seen any delays, nothing unusual out there. and right now the drive time is about 19 minutes from the carquinez bridge to the maze. other bridges this is a live look at the san mateo bridge which also is moving fine right now out of haywa

with the forecast, here's lawrence. >>> i'm with kerry.ives me crazy, too,. >> me, too. >> yes. i know. >> but good to slow down as we have some very slick conditions out there on the roads. we have seen some rain overnight and it continues now. in fact, we have a good cell that's just about to make its way onshore bringing some heavier amounts of rainfall now into southern parts of pacifica and into parts of half moon bay. you see this cell sliding by making its way into south san francisco. it will pick up. expect some downpours along the 101 and the 280 and well, we have some rain around the bay area and it will continue on and off throughout the day maybe even a couple of thunderstorms outside. some hail. brief gusty winds and some downpours, a very interesting day ahead. now, looks like it's going to settle down at least through the first part of the weekend. then on sunday, maybe some more showers but this cold front diving in out of the gulf of alaska bringing some very unstable air here and that low is kind of the key to the storm.

let's check in with lawrence. been hinting about nice weather but then rain on its way. >> yeah. we have a little bit of everything coming up i think in the next five to seven days. yesterday was gorgeous, today changes, sea breeze kicking in, fog at the coastline and it's hazy inside the bay and the valleys. outside we have a cold front that is approaching the bay area. that is going to change everything. it's going to help to ramp up that sea breeze and bring more clouds to the coastline and help to cool down the temperatures. it's still going to be a very nice day. a lot of 70s inside the bay. mid- to upper 70s in the valleys. along the coastline much cooler temperatures there in the low 60s with those low clouds. out over the bay right now, it's mostly clear, 40s and some 50s right now. by the afternoon, the clouds will continue to gather out toward the beaches so it will be a cool day there with low 60s for highs, get inside the bay a little more sunshine, 60s and even mid-70s into san jose. about 77 degrees
