lawrence. i just came out of all that. >> that's pretty good. that's even one of those brown bananas and usually those are pretty darn soft. hey, folks, we have some fairly cool temperatures to start out the temperatures here in the bay area this morning. but we are going to warm up nicely. 30s and 40s early on. a couple of patches of frost showing up there, as well. skies clear though and think we'll end up that way, too: mostly sunny skies, not as much wind around the bay area today and the temperatures are seasonal normal 50s and 60s popping up mid-60s in some of the warmer spots. here it is, that ridge of high pressure still in control. area of low pressure moving east allowing the winds to dissipate somewhat around the bay area so we'll be left with mild conditions outside. and it looks like the ridge is going to hold for a few days but as we head in toward the weekend that starts to break down and as its does, we'll see clouds and rain next week. so enjoy the sunshine while we have it. 64 san jose. 64 milpitas. 62 san mateo. 59 pacifica. east bay numbers in the 60s afte

brown, live in new york city. hey, stay warm out there. >> reporter: thank you. >>> let's check our forecast. why not? let's rub it n making it easy for you, lawrence hope terrell isn't watching this forecast. this is something else, folks. we are basking in the sunshine out west as high pressure sits overhead. temperatures spring-like around the bay area. numbers 50s and 40s but that's as cold as it will get, clear start to the coast. and by the afternoon, check out some of these temperatures. 50s, even upper 60s. yeah, it is going to be one of those beautiful afternoons all the way to the coastline again with clear skies just a little breezy in spots, especially over some of the hills. all right. here's the storm system and it is a monster storm stretching all the way up from much of the northeast down into texas and you can see, causing trouble along the way. behind that, very cold air. you have had blizzard conditions and now freezing rain making its way across new england. more of that trouble continues throughout the day but through the day we'll see warmer air working in. and that will bring with it more rain around that area. all right. let
