lawrence karnow. a little cooldown? >> yeah. a couple of days ago temperatures in the 70s all around the bay area. those are long gone now. we are cooling down the temperatures outside but not a bad day. we are not going to have to worry about rain but winds kicking up, temperatures cooler. cloudy but high and dry in th near term. longer term, rain again. 48 degrees in santa rosa right now and 49 degrees in san francisco. this afternoon, sunshine but cooler temperatures. plan on 68 in fairfield, 67 in san jose and about 62 degrees in san francisco. looking out over the next few days, guess what? yup we felt got a chance of showers making its way back into the bay area come thursday. much colder temperatures going to dive into the bay area, as well. they are going to leave a chance of showers into friday too. but looks like the weekend looks dry for the most part, although by sunday night we could be talking about a return of some moisture here in the bay area and a chance of some more rain. chance of more showers heading into mo

sunny skies over most of the area, for more on the week ahead here is lawrence karnow. >> good morning looking at a fantastic day ahead we had clouds move through yesterday. bringing a couple sprinkles outside things are drying out now as that system heads east ward we are left with a lot of sunshine behind. yeah, warming up around not only here but much of the state, 70 degrees sacramento today, should be 71 in fresno, 63 monterey bay, mostly sunny ukiah, 69 degrees. now if you want to head up to high country there is a slight chance we have lingering showers there. doesn't look like a big deal could be wet up there as we head in toward monday it starts to dry out and as we look toward tuesday another slight chance in showers but these are spring skiing conditions. >> weak system sliding on by brought the clouds yesterday high pressure starting to slide in behind and that means a whole lot more sunshine coming our way. the weather is improving that sunshine will make a return today and more on the way tomorrow temperatures are going to be heating up outside with the weak offshore wind
