meteorologist lawrence karnow joins us now with the four zone forecast. lawrence karnow: we enjoyed a mix of sunshine and clouds on this christmas day. temperatures remained cool to mild as well. as you can see on the doppler radar there are more clouds streaming across our skies but not enough energy to squeeze much in the way of rain out of them. all of the ski resorts are open. and even though they haven't seen much snow as of late there are plenty of lifts and trails open to ski on. on the satellite image you can see as these storms continue to run into high pressure over california only to fall apart and leave a few clouds behind. that pattern will likely continue now until the end of the year. highs tomorrow will be similar with 50s at the coast and mid 60s in the warmest inland locations. temperatures may actually warm a little toward the middle of the week before cooling again next weekend.
