we'll go now to kron four's chief meteorologist lawrence karnow who's tracking the forecast in la. yeah. fire now. some snow, some ice and rain. maybe some mudslides. a lot going on in southern california right now. the good news is those winds backed off. the santa ana winds have gone. now you see more of a seabreeze begin to kick in. that means the humidity is going to start to rise and that's going to slow down the progress of some of these fires. but well, you don't really help of some of that rain. you just don't want too much. see the areas shaded in green. yeah. worried about the possibility of some flooding. those a flood watch is up until monday, expecting some rainfall, not all that heavy, although there could be some isolated thunderstorms embedded in this system as it rolls on by. and of course, if you get a thunderstorm all around any of those areas that could actually get things going very rapidly. as far as the rain coming down extremely hard for a short amount of time. and that could cause some mudslides, maybe even some debris flows on the coastline toward malveaux

chief meteorologist lawrence karnow has been tracking the wind conditions in monterey county. he's here now with the very latest, lawrence guys, if in fact it is burning in some of those batteries, those are a lithium-ion batteries. they've got some bad medals and they're very toxic out there as well. so concerned about some of the smoke conditions in there. right now. we're getting a little bit of a southerly component to some of those winds there. so you see moss landing care of that smoke eaking its way toward the north. you've got places like elkhorn, you've got laslo most and of course, a much larger populated area in watsonville. but some of that smoke, a travel all the way up. an app toss also in the santa cruz as well. so we're going to be watching that throughout the night tonight and early tomorrow morning. electrical fires with batters traditionally very hard to put out. right now. we are seeing changes in our weather pattern here locally. that fog is finally back. that's a sign of that onshore wind is so that offshore breeze clouds rolling in across the bay area rig
