we want to get right to our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow with the very latest. lawrence. yeah, guys, here we go. a lot of that storm system coming onshore in the afternoon. some light showers to begin with. but now we're really starting to head toward that period of very intense rainfall overnight tonight and tomorrow morning, you're looking out toward the san mateo bridge, very slick out there right now, even more. so this is really just been the light rain moving through so far and all the bridges you can have to watch out. we're going to see these winds intensify overnight tonight. not too bad out toward the golden gate bridge so far. but just along the coastline, parts of the north bay, they're starting to see some gusts of almost 50 miles per hour. now. and that's going to be headed your way. so the storm system just putting itself together and it's going to bring with it. some subtropical moisture. and so the national weather service is now extended. that flood watch for the entire bay area, expecting some heavy amounts of rain watching out for some of the usual sus

let's check in with our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow. hey, lawrence.eah, the moisture content in these storms very, very high. and that's because this is last on the subtropical moisture. so the water content running much, much higher. now. we've got a storm coming a little bit later on this week. things are pretty dry is going to that nice powder. so you get ready ski this weekend, he was keen on that fresh powder there in the sierra nevada up there right now. you can see all that snow piling up in the high country. it's really coming down. they are chaining up on 80. if you're headed up their rough ride there tonight. some very gusty winds to go along with that. we do have some winter storm warnings in effect until 10 o'clock in the morning on wednesday. and that will likely only be a brief break before they get reissued again with that next storm system. and that next storm system, much colder that is going to drop the snow levels all the way down to about 3,000 feet. all right. in the meantime, though, temperatures, yeah, tomorrow, not a bad day to
