livermore valley as well. that's your latest kcbs traffic. lawrencehe's got his hi-def doppler radar in full action today. >>> yeah we're tracking some possible thunderstorms rolling through the bay area this morning. we're seeing some heavy downpours. we've already had numerous lightning strikes although it's settled down a little bit with the lightning the last 15 minutes or so. you can see that subtropical moisture sliding on through and look at all the lightning strikes off the coastline. moving in along the peninsula. and making their way on shore. now looks like the showers continuing outside but starting to settle down just a little bit further south. more of the focus now moving up towards the north bay you see numerous cells and some heavy downpours in through san rafael. just the east now a pretty good cell making its way in north of richmond headed toward vallejo. traveling in this morning be prepared got some thunderstorms outside right now. you can see the heavy downpours and some brief hail and gusty win. and looks like that will all end

. >>> thank you lawrence and we have been watching a couple of different fender-benders this morning. including one causing some pretty major delays in livermore. left side this is a live look in berkeley. where things look pretty good as you can see all that westbound traffic pretty much moving at the speed limit. a few brake lights in emeryville but the drive time only about 20 minutes between the carquinez bridge and the maze. to the maps and what else is going on? a live look at the bay bridge toll plaza where they turned the metering lights on. you are backed up past the overcrossings now but this isn't a problem spot. it's out of tracy because of an earlier fender-bender pushing north greenville. it was involving five cars and a big rig and quickly cleared and it's mostly slowing for a while that was really clogging up the works right here and now that accident is completely gone. nothing there to even look at. any longer. now the heaviest delays are out of tracy and begin around 11th and really don't clear out until you get really out of livermore. and here's a look at our sensors in antioch just beginning to see some delays past 8th st

livermore valley. you can see most traffic at slow speeds approaching vasco loosening up toward the dublin interchange. that is your latest "kcbs traffic." with the forecast, here's lawrencere seeing delays at sfo on arriving flights of almost an hour and that's due to low clouds and fog surging onshore this morning. pretty good sea breeze again through the delta some of those gusts up to 30 miles per hour. you see the clouds filling in now and looks like they will slowly burnbach to the coastline maybe even a little slower today so temperatures will be down just slightly from yesterday's highs. but it will be mostly sunny and then it looks like a warmer weekend is ahead. maybe even starting to get hot in some of the valleys by sunday. high pressure weakening though today. you have this trough off the coastline. we'll see those breezy conditions kicking up especially into the afternoon today and looks like some of those winds especially strong along the coastline in through some of the mountain gaps and the delta. temperatures going to be down in the central valley today, very comfortable for this time of year. 89 in sacramento. be careful traveling into the high country.

livermore, 92 degrees in san jose. let's check on the roads now with elizabeth. >> reporter: san francisco looks like the sweet spot. thank you, lawrence go, and that accident is finally cleared, northbound 101 from the central freeway approaching mission, all lanes now back open. taking the biggest hit a bit earlier with traffic coming off of the bay bridge. now we're just seeing a little bit of slowdowns in each direction. fortunately, they were able to clear that accident involving a dump truck and another work truck. flatbed tow crews came and went. traffic was starting to back up onto the deck. westbound 80, heavy. you can see there, backed up through the maze. metering lights have been on since 5:45. accident still blocking the slow lane in petaluma, approaching petaluma boulevard south, southbound lanes of 101. injury accident. delays are well beyond lakeville highway. and westbound 580, you can also see really heavy traffic this morning. we had late-running road work and earlier fender bender and it really slowed down the commute early. that's why the drive time is extra heavy, 37 minutes between the altamonte pass and 680. tha
