lawrence. >> it's still summer and we're talking about rain returning to the bay area. first fall real fall type weather system making its way in our direction. the cold front headed toward the bay area. the clouds already on the increase outside. some dense fog at the coastline. temperatures mainly in the 50s although we have seen some 40s in the north bay valleys. in the afternoon increasing clouds and the temperatures will be much cooler today. 60s at the coastline, 70s and low 80s in the warmest spots well inland. high pressure moving out. you can see the cold front on final approach here. making its way toward the bay area it will bring with it a chance of showers as early as this evening. then a chance of showers continuing into saturday even an isolated thunderstorm. computer models picking up on some of the patchy fog early on and then starts to thicken up throughout the day today and then the cold front heads into town. toward the evening, see 7:00 we have some showers beginning to creep into parts of the north bay. and then overnight tonight, into tomorrow mor
