emily wilkins is standing by in lawrenceville in gwinnett county, one of the most populous counties in the state. what is your update? emily: we are here in gwinnett county, an incredibly important county in the race, particularly for democrats. this county used to be a republican stronghold. in 2014 but won it since then the makeup of the county has changed a little bit. more people moving in from out of the state, as well as growing diversity. a little less than a quarter of the county is black. that diversity is helping democrats do well here. the county went for biden and jon ossoff and rafael warnock in the past election, so the question is if they can replicate that today. if so, it would be a good sign for democrats this evening. jeanne: we were just hearing about an incumbency advantage for david purdue. obviouslyincumbent, off the trail with covid, having been in contact with somebody with covid, but does he have an incumbency advantage in a place like when it county? advantage incumbent usually means that you have a name that is known, you have a record that you can point to.
